Event Information

The IPAA 2016 National Conference in Adelaide – Innovation through Collaboration – aims to be a dynamic and provocative look at how the public sector promotes social and economic innovation in Australia through the way it interacts with other sectors.

The conference itself aims to be collaborative and innovative and will feature challenging speeches from international and national leaders across the spectrum. These leaders, and showcasing of leading edge case studies will highlight how the public sector can re-shape its ethos and culture in a contemporary context and help to build social and economic innovation.

Importantly, it will provide a chance for attendees to use a range of media to contribute to a live manifesto of change that will evolve over the course of the conference, and be launched online on the Friday evening.

This conference will be a centrepiece of Open State – ten days of collaboration, innovation, ideas and enterprise. Open State will attract up to 10,000 attendees and Adelaide will be alive with activities and debate. Attendees from interstate and oversees will be given plenty of reason to stay and engage with the diversity of our State’s culture, economy, and environment.

The Premier of South Australia will launch proceedings on the Wednesday night and will deliver a keynote address, the Garran Oration.

Please join us at the Adelaide Convention Centre, 20-21 October 2016.
